Amethyst crystals, which are only found in caves in Uruguay are extracted from geodes that are estimated to be 150-240 million years old, and are much rarer than diamonds.

Amethyst was created inside air pockets from lava flows. Water with an amethyst mineral content would trickle into the air pocket and begin to grow. Stalactites grew inside the amethyst geodes. Stalactites are cross cut into natural rock pendants.

Real Leaves Preserved in 24Kt Gold Electroform Jewelry: The beauty of this process is that each piece of jewelry is made from a real leaf, so each one is unique and no two are alike. The process is called electroforming. The surface of a real leaf is hand-painted with a copper based paint. Once the natural surface is coated with the copper metal, the leaves are then dipped into a solution of 24kt gold or other specialized metal finishes such as Antique Silver, Antique Copper, Pink Copper or a combination of metals. The result is a beautiful leaf that is preserved in pure 24kt gold or other finishes, creating a unique handcrafted piece of wearable art.
